Anyone on your roof needs a safe way up.

The Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 says you must remove the risk of a fall where you can, and cut it down where you cannot. No minimum height applies.

From 1 April 2027 the Health and Safety at Work Amendment Act 2026 lists working at heights as a critical risk.

On most multi-storey buildings, a certified anchor system is the practical answer.

We check the structure, install to specification, load test every point, and issue the register, roof plan and certificates.

Keeping a system certified.

WorkSafe guidance is that anchors are tagged and re-certified every 12 months. A point that has held a fall comes out of service until it is checked. We re-test systems whoever installed them.

How an anchor job runs.

    We check the roof

    We assess the structure, agree what the system is for, and check the fixing.

    We install

    Points go in to the manufacturer's specification, photographed as we go and tagged with a number.

    We test and certify

    Every point is load tested. You get the register, roof plan, certificates and rescue plan.

  4. 04

    We come back yearly

    Systems are re-inspected and re-certified every 12 months, and your register is updated.

How often do roof anchors need testing?

Every 12 months for systems in use, which is what WorkSafe guidance asks for. Anchors are not part of a building warrant of fitness.

Can you certify anchors someone else installed?

Yes. We inspect, load test and certify any system. A point that does not hold is tagged out of service, and you get a fail report and a price.

What is the difference between restraint and fall-arrest?

Restraint stops a worker reaching the edge. Fall-arrest catches them after a fall starts. Restraint is safer, so we design for it where the roof allows.

What paperwork do we get?

An anchor register with serial numbers, a marked roof plan, load test certificates and a rescue plan. That is the pack a contractor will ask to see.
